Our Story
As the founders of Upfit personally experienced the impact of declining health in our parents at relatively young ages, we were inspired to do something about it. Doctors prescribed medicine for diseases, but rarely spoke of the most important element of pre and post-disease medicine: exercise. We dream of making Medicine 3.0 the norm. This paradigm shift calls for early intervention and personalized, preventative approaches, fundamentally altering the way we approach our health. We focus on extending the quality and quantity of years (healthspan) through strength training, cardio work, and stability exercises.

Jessica Collins loves learning about the human body and how exercise impacts it, especially the physiology of what occurs on a cellular level with repeated exercise. She’s also very passionate about teaching these scientific principles to empower others to see and believe what they’re capable of with the right tools adapted for their goals. Her Bachelor’s (Exercise and Wellness), Master’s in Exercise Physiology, and certification as an Exercise Physiologist trained her well in understanding these concepts and how to apply them to the individual. Outside of her passion for learning and testing the principles of exercise, she loves spending time with her husband and their adventurous toddler daughter, watching a fun movie, hiking new routes, snowshoeing in the winter, finding a new place to run a 5k, and looking for new hobbies too!
