There are many barriers that keep us from exercising. Fear of getting hurt. Not knowing how to use equipment. Lack of confidence in proper, safe movements. Disbelief it’ll make any lasting change for them. A poor understanding of the benefits strength and endurance training provides. Feeling like it’s too late to start something new.
These barriers and feelings are real and hard to overcome, but we believe it’s worth trying because every person deserves to live their life to the fullest and age on their terms. We believe you’re worth it.
So, we want every client to feel the support, encouragement and confidence that comes from having a personal trainer at your workout. We want you to feel safe, knowing an expert is there to guide, help, and answer questions; excited to move, knowing the prescribed workout is progressing you towards your goals; and confident that you can keep doing the things you enjoy.
Every body is different and this is why we primarily offer 1 on 1 personal training. This will provide the attention, support and immediate feedback that is so often missed in a large fitness class. However, we also believe in the power of community in working towards a goal, so we also offer small group sessions (up to 3 people). These small group sessions allow you to build friendships with others in similar life stages as you, with similar goals as you. This camaraderie can increase motivation, excitement, and consistency while working towards a goal. We cap these small group sessions at 3 clients per 1 trainer to ensure no one gets lost in the hustle and bustle. Each client still receives attention and feedback from the trainer, but they can also enjoy the added benefit of doing the work with a friend.
Our strength programs combined with our endurance programs offer a thorough exercise program covering all the bases. Research is clear that strength training activates one pathway in the body, while endurance training activates a separate pathway, and yet activating each pathway provides benefits to the other, especially as we age. The combination of strength and endurance allows for improved bone density, decreased level of exertion during day-to-day tasks (walking up and down stairs, carrying groceries, playing with grandkids, etc), stronger hearts, delayed time to fatigue, and so much more. With our system of prescribing both forms of exercise, we hope to provide well-rounded and long-lasting progress!
Now, we know this can feel like a lot all at once. With that said, we have worked hard to create as much flexibility as possible for each client. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, you’re traveling and want to adjust your workout to fit your plans, or you want to breathe some fresh outdoor air as you do your endurance training instead of staying inside, we want you to feel the support and confidence of having a trainer on your team. We have multiple pricing packages depending on your needs. We want to meet you where you’re at, design a plan with you, and help you reach your goals.
